UX/UI Design for a Residence Card IC Verification & Management App

Overview

We were responsible for the overall UX/UI design of a new product: a residence card IC verification and management app developed from scratch. To deliver the value users need as quickly as possible within a limited development timeline, we prioritized features using user story mapping and adopted a phased release strategy split into two phases.

Project

  • Client: HR Tech Company (Undisclosed)
  • Industry: HR Tech
  • Device: iOS
  • Duration: 15 weeks
  • Role: UX/UI Design / Research / Prototyping

Challenges

In launching a new product from zero, with limited resources and time, it was difficult to decide which features to prioritize. The challenge was how quickly we could bring the most essential experience to market for users.

Approach

  • Client interviews: Building a deep understanding of business goals and user needs.
  • User story mapping: Visualizing the big picture and identifying essential features.
  • Release phase optimization (Phases 1 & 2): Planning for an early release followed by feature expansion.
  • User flows and UI design: Pursuing an intuitive, easy-to-follow experience.
  • Prototyping and validation: Identifying issues before implementation and proposing UI improvements.

Outcomes

Through a phased release based on user story mapping, we achieved the market launch as planned. Although this was a from-scratch build, we created a UX structure that solves users’ core problems and established a highly extensible UI foundation that enables smooth feature expansion phase by phase.
